Raven-Symone joins Broadway's ‘Sister Act’ on March 27

That’s so going to be her Broadway debut.
Raven-Symone, known for her role in the kid-friendly series “That’s So Raven,” will take over the lead role of Deloris Van Cartier in the musical “Sister Act” on March 27, Whoopi Goldberg and show’s other producers announced Wednesday.
“Raven is more than up to the challenge,” said Goldberg, adding that whoever plays the part has to “sing like an angel, dance her heart out, and land some really big laughs.”
The musical, based on Goldberg’s movie of the same name, follows wannabe disco-diva Deloris, who witnesses a murder and hides out in a convent. Alan Menken and Glenn Slater’s score includes the infectious anthem “Take Me to Heaven.” Read More
