Former Child Star Mayim Bialik Promoted to ‘Big Bang Theory’ Series Regular

Just one month after announcing that True Blood’s Melissa Rauch had been promoted from recurring guest star to full-fledged series regular on The Big Bang Theory, CBS has announced that Mayim Bialik has been awarded with a similar promotion. Deadline exclusively reported on Monday that Bialik has signed a deal with the network, but only for the current season.

Bialik, a 90s child star who played the lead character in NBC’s Blossom from 1990-1995, debuted on The Big Bang Theory during last season’s finale as Amy Farrah Fowler. After debuting as the nerdy love interest for Emmy-winning actor Jim Parson’s character, she has returned for more guest spots in season four, CNN acknowledges. Read More
