SAG Praises New Law in Protecting Child Actors

In a report by Dave McNary of Variety, the Screen Actors Guild heralded a new state legislation aimed at protecting child actors from scams, such as payment of advance fees for geting jobs and representation.

Actor Ken Howard, who became the newly elected SAG president last month, gave a news conference at the guild's Hollywood headquarters on Wednesday.  "The promise of acting jobs is no longer for sale", he stated.  Read More
