Tracey Gold Will Speak At This Year's "Women's Power Lunch"

February 04, 2014

A former child star and anorexia survivor will serve as this year's Keynote Speaker for a growing event.

Tracey Gold will speak at the United Way of Siouxland's 14th Annual Women's Power Lunch.

Proceeds from the event are used to bring attention to issues affecting women and also award scholarships to single parents attending Siouxland colleges.

Organizers say Tracey will offer an inspiring story for attendants. United Way Resource Development Director Jenna Walsh says, "Tracey Gold has that fantastic story. And now, you know, she's pretty well known. She was in 'Growing Pains' and people know her – and you always try to bring in speakers who people know – as well as people who have overcome a very big battle in their life."

Last year's luncheon had record attendance with over 1,300 contributors.

The Women's Power Lunch will be held on Wednesday April 23, 2014 at the Marina Inn in South Sioux City. It will begin promptly at 11:30 AM. Tickets for the event are $55 per person. A VIP package is also available for $130 which includes both the reception and luncheon.

The Power of the Purse Raffle will also make a return with surprise "Purse Stuffers" as well.
