Butch Patrick talks Eddie Munster

Butch Patrick is thinking a lot about anniversaries lately. The former child star is nearing his third anniversary of sobriety, and next year will be 50 years since "The Munsters" first aired on television.

Before he gets to celebrate those two milestones, though, he'll embrace the past with fans of the iconic series this weekend in Central New York. Patrick will appear on Saturday and Sunday at the Turning Stone Resort & Casino in Verona for the 2013 Scare-A-Con, which runs Sept. 13-15.

In a phone interview, the now 60-year-old actor says he's excited to share stories of his time on "The Munsters." He also wants to hear tales of what the sitcom meant to the people attending at the sci-fi and horror convention, as he's writing a book to celebrate the show's 50th anniversary in 2014.
