Radcliffe: My Fans Grew Up With Me

The former child star has moved into darker roles since his days as the boy wizard and his latest films cover some adult themes like murder and homosexuality, but he insisted his fans are happy to see him evolve.

"What you've got to remember about the Potter audience is that they grew up with me, and a lot of them are now my age or older," said the 24-year-old.

"They want to see dark, challenging material as much as anyone else does."

Daniel is currently at the Toronto International Film Festival with three new films, including Kill Your Darlings, in which he plays poet Allen Ginsberg. The actor has a graphic sex scene with another man in the film, but said he isn't worried about any negative reactions, including from Potter fans.

"What my fan base wants me to do is not the most effective way of forging a career, or certainly not the most honest way of doing it," he said. Read More
