Let the games begin thanks to Children In Film and RPM Talent Agency!!

Just five years ago breaking into this fascinating entertainment industry for our 8 year old daughter was a smooth sailing blast!  Oh yes~those days when she was just too cute for words and solid, reputable agencies were calling left and right to represent her.  The auditions, the callbacks, watching the eyes of an 8 year old light the sky hearing those magical words “she got the part”…nothing like it in the world!  Well no sooner than we heard those words, a drastic family issue brought everything to a screeching halt and we had to cancel our agency contract.Let’s fast forward to the present.  That dainty, cute, non-stop performing 8 year old is now a 13 year old puberty-stricken, yet still performing, teenager facing quadruple the competition and an uphill battle finding reputable representation.  That was, however, until needing a work permit blessed us with the meeting of Toni Casala and Children in Film.  Toni is one of the most professional, positive and caring people I have ever met in this business.  She has devoted numerous years to helping parents of child actors educate and inform ourselves to better protect our performing children.  It was that same dedication and hard work which introduced us to Lynne Gray and RPM Talent Agency.  Lynne is sharp, honest, open and to the point.  All the vitals in an actor-agent-parent relationship.  We have no idea what the future holds, but finding a hard working reputable agency is certainly a great start in the right direction.  To all the wonderful parents out there working hard to help your young performer’s aspirations come true…start as young as possible (as soon as your little one tells you he/she wants to perform), stay the course and keep your commitment (we live in Nevada so commitment is paramount) and of course the most important~encourage and praise! Many many thanks to Toni, Lynne and RPM Talent!  We can’t wait for what’s in store.Blessings To All,

    Tracy and Michael Sanzone

    Hello!

My first post on CIF was about 2 months ago. We had lots of questions about starting in the industry and had comments about JRP.

Thank you ChildrenInFilm and Members for all of your responses! You Rock! KidStart program is awesome, forum, the webpage itself, gives a lots of education to us "newcomers".

Our daughter Severina is still attending JRP, things are lot better, she likes it, that’s all it matters. She auditioned couple of times with reputable agents, but getting no feedback, was very hard to see if she’s doing something wrong or not. I wasn’t sure what to do until I decided to submit her myself.

Thanks to CIF again, I was able to e-mail couple of agents, and then after about a month I got one response, that changed everything.

Just last week we went to LA, met Lynne Gray with RPM and signed our first contract in a heart beat. Lynne is great, very professional, and to the point. She took the time to get to know us, and I can tell she knows with kids. Severina likes her very much. We are looking forward to our relationship with Lynne.

Living here in Vegas and getting started in industry is very hard, “bigheads” are around us everywhere, no one to turn to with questions, until…

…Until we met and I hope become friends with this awesome lady, Tracy Sanzone and her daughter Maranda Ramos. We initially met on this forum which led to a “girls lunch”, texting, e-mails and phone calls.

I was really blessed meeting Tracy; great woman, professional-full of information, caring and very positive. She there, devoted to her daughter Maranda but also to the other parents of child actors needing education and information to better protect their children in the industry. Thank you Tracy!

We have no idea what the future holds for our daughter, but finding a good agent is the great start!

    L.A., HERE WE COME!!!

I must quote Tracy on this one: “The sky is the limit now!!!”

Children In Film, Thanks’ again to all of you! We’ll keep in touch.
