    ADVICE ON AGENTS

Has anyone heard of Aqua, BMG and Progressive?  We have meetings soon and would like to know if anybody has heard of them.  Thank you!

I know that BMG is on our site.  The other two are not.  Hopefully some other parents will be able to weigh in.  Once you go on the interviews, we'd love it if you'd leave a star rating (anonymous) or a Recommendation regarding your experience with BMG.  This way other parents will learn from your experience.  Thank you!!

I sure will do that.  Thanks for responding to me as we are meeting with BMG next Tuesday so I will definitely put a rating.  I hope others can give me some advice on Aqua and Progressive.  I know that Progressive mainly took adults but have just opened a youth division so they are just now taking on children for theatrical and Aqua some agents came from ACME but that is all I know at this point.  Maybe others can help.

Thanks again and I will keep everybody posted!

Thanks for the advice.  I think I will try the bigger ones first as you said.  We are currently with Brad Diffley at Mavrick for Commercial but we are looking for Print and Theatrical Agents.  I think it is ok to submit to the agents on this website as it is easier than mailing.  I think I will try that.

     Thanks again!

    Re: ADVICE ON AGENTS

I have two children also with Brad at Mavrick.  My daughter is 10 and is with him also.  My son is 12.  He took us commercially first but I guess I could approach him on the theatrical part since we've been with him for several months now.  I know Brad is good as he was with Abrams for a long time and he won Talent Manager of the year twice for commercials for kids.

Are your children younger?  Has he been getting you out on alot of auditions for both kids?  How long have you been with Brad?  Who handles the theatrical for them and have you gotten out on auditions and feel they are strong theatrically?

Thats why I was looking for agents for Print and Theatrical since we are only commercially with Brad.  Just wondering as I don't know anything about them theatrically before I go approaching them on this for my children.  I appreciate your guidance!

    Re: ADVICE ON AGENTS

We have been with Brad since July 2008 for both kids but only for commercial.  He has gotten my son out several times but since the end of August he has only gone on one audition.  My daughter has been on about 3 auditions since July.  I asked him what was going on and he said the industry is very slow in all agencies.  I really like him as he is quick to respond when you e-mail him, though I don't e-mail him often as I don't want to bother him.  Had callbacks on the auditions but did not book.
