  1. HOW TO ENTER:  No purchase necessary to enter or win.  Contest starts on August 1, 2007 and shall continue indefinitely until further notice on this website (the “entry period”).  You may enter by submitting digital photos as set forth below.  NO ENTRIES BY MAIL WILL BE PERMITTED.

No more than ONE photo entry per child per calendar month.  Photographs must not be smaller than 3½” x 5” nor larger than 8” x 10”.

    DIGITAL ENTRIES:
Only digital photos will be accepted.  These may be submitted online at contest@childreninfilm.com.  Please adhere to the provided instructions when uploading your entry.  Digital file entries may not exceed 2MB in size and must be uncompressed jpeg files having a resolution of 72dpi or 600x800 pixels.  In the event your image is selected for consideration as a finalist, you will be asked to provide a high-resolution file for purposes of possible publication.

Entry must be in keeping with the image as reflected by Children In Film, Inc.’s ChildrenInFilm.com website (“Sponsor”), and may not be offensive, nor can it defame or invade the publicity rights or privacy of any person, or otherwise infringe upon any person or entity’s personal or proprietary rights, as determined by the judges in their sole discretion.  Incomplete entries and entries not complying with all rules are subject to disqualification.  No correspondence regarding entries will be acknowledged or entered into with entrants.  By entering, each entrant forfeits to Sponsor all rights to the content of his/her entry (but shall retain copyright in the photograph, subject to a license in favor of Sponsor, as explained below).  Entries become the sole property of the Sponsor and will not be returned, even with a self-addressed stamped envelope.  The personal information that entrants submit will be subject to Sponsor’s Privacy Statement which can be viewed at www.childreninfilm.com/privacy.  “Releasees” (as defined below) are not responsible for late, lost, incomplete, illegible, stolen, damaged, misdirected or postage due entries or mail (all of which such entries are void).

  2. JUDGING CRITERIA:  All entries will be judged by a qualified panel of judges approved by Sponsor.  Our contest is held to encourage parents to take their own "professional looking" photographs that can be used for submission to potential employers and agents in the film, television, commercial and print photography industry.  Here's what we look for:  Fresh, Simple, Natural photos.  Avoid over-accessorizing, busy backgrounds, shirts with logos, etc.  Strive for bright smiles and open eyes looking directly at the camera.  Winners will be selected at least monthly, with the judging taking place just before each winner is announced.  In the event of a tie, the entries involved will be re-judged by an additional judge who will serve as a tiebreaker and evaluate such tied entries according to the criteria listed above.

  3. PRIZES:  At least one (1) Contest winner per month:  Winning photos will gain national exposure and be seen by industry professionals.  If a third party should contact Sponsor for information about the child featured in any photo submitted, Sponsor will not share any personal information about that child with such third party, but will contact the parent or legal guardian of that child with a message from the third party.  Winners will also receive a free lifetime Enhanced Membership to the ChildrenInFilm.com website.  Approximate Retail Value (ARV): of each prize is approximately $156.00 annually, although this value could vary if the Enhanced Membership annual fee changes.  Prizes consist of only those items specifically listed herein as part of the prize.  All taxes and other expenses incurred are the winner’s sole responsibility.  Limit one prize per person or household. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of comparable or greater value if the above prize becomes unavailable.  No substitution, cash equivalent or transfer of prize permitted.

  4. ELIGIBILITY:  Open to all legal U.S. residents who are members of Children In Film and are between the ages of 15 days and 18 years, inclusive.  Employees, volunteers, interns and agents of ChildrenInFilm.com and its parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, and advertising and promotion agencies, and their immediate families (spouse, parents, children, and siblings and their respective spouses) and individuals living in the same households of such persons are ineligible to enter or win.  Void where prohibited by law.  Contest subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.  By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and accept decisions of the Sponsor as final in all matters relating to this Contest.

ChildrenInFilm.com and its parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies, and all of their respective employees, officers, directors, shareholders, and agents (collectively, “Releasees”) are not responsible for incorrect or inaccurate transcription of entry information or any other error or malfunction.  Entry materials that have been tampered with or altered are void.  Proof of mailing entry does not constitute proof of delivery.

If the judges determine, in their sole discretion, that there is any suspected or actual tampering with the Contest, fraud, violation of the Official Rules, or if technical failures or difficulties compromise the integrity of the Contest, the judges reserve the right to void the entries at issue and/or terminate the Contest (or any portion thereof) and judge those eligible entries received as of the action requiring such termination.  If the Contest is terminated prior to its expiration date, notice will be posted at www.childreninfilm.com.  Any attempt to deliberately damage the content or operation of this Contest is unlawful and subject to legal action by the Sponsor, Releasees and/or their agents.

  5. TO CLAIM PRIZE:  Winners will be notified by email each month, and their parents or legal guardians may be required to complete and sign an Affidavit of Eligibility and a Liability Release and, where legal, Publicity Release, which must be returned within seven (7) days of issuance of prize notification.  If the affidavit and release(s) are not returned within the time period, properly executed or are returned as undeliverable, the prize will be forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner.

  6. LIMITATIONS:  Releasees are not responsible for any typographical or other errors in printing, the offering or administration of the promotion, or in the announcement, awarding or acceptance of prizes.  Releasees have no liability whatsoever for any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind resulting from acceptance, possession, use or misuse of any prize or participation in this Contest (including, without limitation, any activity related hereto).
