Q & A with Natalie Portman

Natalie Portman began acting at age 13.  She auditioned for Luc Besson's film Le'on (aka The Professional) and won the part.  Her mature performance captivated audiences.  In the late 1990s, Portman was cast as Padme' Amidala in the Star Wars prequel trilogy.  Its massive audience and mainstream appeal made Portman an instant star.  Natalie is known today not just for her acting but also her activism.  Portman has been a vegetarian since childhood and is an advocate for animal rights.  She does not eat animal products or wear fur, feathers or leather.  Read More
