Biggie Smalls' Son on Playing his Father in 'Notorious B.I.G'

Christopher Jordan Wallace has a problem. The 12-year-old child actor, the son of the Brooklyn rap legend the late Biggie Smalls (aka Notorious B.I.G, aka Christopher Wallace), is more than just his father's child. “I don't want to be known as ‘Little Biggie'!” he says, wearily. “It's nice that I have a famous father, and that I get a reputation through him, but I don't want people saying: ‘Hey there goes Biggie's son, that's Biggie's son!' It's, like, no, my friends call me C.J.”

And yet, when Wallace was approached by his grandmother, Voletta, to play a young Biggie in the biopic of his father's life (one that she was co-producing, along with Biggie's mentor Sean “P. Diddy” Combs), he didn't hesitate. Read More
