“iCarly," Star Miranda Cosgrove Has Sights Set on Conquering the Music World

The tween TV sensation Miranda Cosgrove has inked a deal with Columbia Records.  It’s part of the global partnership inked between Nick and the Sony Music Label Group which will include the release of the album "iCarly iPlaylist" on June 10th.

"ICarly," in which Cosgrove plays a teenager who produces Webcasts from her attic, is the No. 3-ranked program on broadcast and cable TV in kids 6-11 and tweens 9-14, behind Fox's "American Idol" and Nick's "Zoey 101," according to Nielsen Media Research.

Cosgrove, 14, might be known to older folks for her role as a David Geffen wannabe in the Jack Black comedy "School of Rock."  Read More
