The Screen Actors Guild has signed an Interim Deal with Independent Film Company

The Screen Actors Guild, which is currently in the midst of contract talks with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers, announced on Wednesday, April 16th that it has signed an interim deal for nine movies with the Film Department, an indie financing, production, and sales company.  The Film Department, Mark Gill and Neil Sacker's year-old shingle, announced late Wednesday that it had reached pacts with SAG for nine pics. But the majors are unlikely to react to SAG's maneuver, as Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers members have been steadfastly holding off on starting any projects until after a deal with the guild is reached.  Read More
